Documenting Austin's Streets and Homeless

We are a grassroots, non-partisan organization looking to bring transparency and support to the lives of our homeless neighbors. We have two missions: help the homeless get off the streets, and clean up the environmental damage to Austin's green spaces.

Focus #1:Homeless outreach

We want to build a robust and effective outreach team to work with the homeless inside encampments across the city. Our goal is to get them off the streets and improve their lives in stable environments.

Drug addiction and mental illness is at the heart of the problems faced by our homeless neighbors. Because of this, the process is not easy and requires building relationships, trust, and often following up with individuals consistently.

Our long term vision is to establish a Haven for Hope model in Austin, TX.

Focus #2:Environmental clean up

Many Austinites are not aware of the ongoing environmental disaster to our beloved green spaces. This is a direct result of the open camping policy advocated by local politicians and the city of Austin.

Despite the citizens of Austin voting to reinstate the camping ban in 2021, public camping continues throughout the city—causing damage to our public parks and waterways.

It has become clear that the city will not clean the abandoned camps and trash littering our city. As a result, we will take on this responsibility ourselves and begin doing weekly cleanups throughout Austin.

We are not affiliated with the City of Austin.
